Brenda's Story: Coming out of the Darkness

This past year has been a year of self discovery, digging deep into my soul. Finally being honest with myself, my family and my true friends and neighbors. I never thought about how with just one early morning run to the liquor store I could end up with not just 1 but several bottles. It was my secret, no one would ever know. Thankfully, I never went to jail or hurt anyone - God was with me then. Today, I have 10 months of sobriety and I have never felt better! The first picture was in January, my first time in the parking lot at a weekly Thursday AA meeting and then second was this summer. I call it coming out of the darkness and into the full freedom of being honest and true to myself. Thank you for letting me share my story!
